AICE Media Project

     The software I found most useful for editing pictures was VSCO it had a ton of filters and features and was free and easy to use. The most useful hardware I found to be my phone it has a 4k camera and is capable of taking pictures with  HDR or high dynamic range. this means that the colors in the pictures are more true to life than normal range cameras and pictures. Almost all my pictures are taken on my phone. The other pictures I took were on a DJI phantom pro but i didn't think the high angle shots fit the magazine. I found i would not be able to do this with out online capabilities. The use of online programs and technologies was immensely valuable.

I chose my tittle font for a very specific reason. american muscle cars come from three major companies Mopar which are Dodge Plymouth and Christler. Ford motors which is Ford Mercury and Lincoln. Then there is GM which is Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac GMC and Cheverolet. The font of my magazine tittle is close to the emblem font of GM.

     At the begging of the project I didn't even know what Microsoft Office publisher was. After all the time I've spent using Power Point and Word I could easily navigate the controls of publisher. The hardest part and the biggest learning experience was figuring out how to export the pages as jpeg files. After that was all figured out I feel like an expert in Publisher. I also even found a similar font to the gm logo for my tittle.

     My article engages people who enjoy working on, building, driving and customizing classic american cars. The issue i created has a focus on A-body muscle cars. The cover shows a 1970 Chevelle appealing to Chevy and gm fans. There is an article in the table of contents that has a picture of a 1974 dodge dart sport appealing to Mopar fans. The article features a 1968 Pontiac Lemans appealing to the Pontiac and gm fans. I will distribute the article in auto-part stores and speed shops as well as with a website allowing people to subscribe online.

     My project both uses and challenges conventions. I use the conventional system of table of contents for my area of magazines. I also have a pretty standard cover page. it Has one main picture, a tittle at the top and a few articles listed. what you don't often see is a logo added to the cover. Also i have an unconventional article it i an article about the car instead of just talking about how to build the car i talked about how you can interchange parts and customize a car the way me and my friends do.
